About Us

The Healing Project was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic with the purpose of assisting students who identify as underrepresented in healthcare. I started off college knowing that I wanted to be a doctor, but I didn’t know how to space my classes or even what internships to apply for. I was completely unaware of the resources available as well as the time, energy, and devotion needed. For this reason, I created The Healing Project because I am sure there are other students out there who are overwhelmed like I was and unsure where to begin. Utilizing my experiences and the connections I’ve made over the years, I want to help students gain the confidence needed to pursue a meaningful path to medicine. 

The Healing Project is dedicated to ensuring access and equity for ambitious underrepresented students pursuing healthcare careers by providing tailored mentorship, resources, and guidance through a longitudinal and interdisciplinary approach.
